Bio

Sarah Batty has worked in healthcare since 1990, starting out as a mental health nurse before moving into clinical management, training, consultancy, and her current role as a psychotherapist. Since 2015, she has worked in Talking Therapy services, supporting hundreds of people to better manage their emotions, thoughts, and behaviours, and to reduce the impact of anxiety and mood disorders.

Sarah believes in empowering people by helping them understand themselves more clearly, building tools for long-term emotional resilience. She offers both 1:1 psychotherapy and group workshops, and is an approved provider for BUPA, AXA, Aviva, and WPA. Sessions are available online via secure video call or in person from her consulting room in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

In 2025, Sarah is launching a Mental Wellness Workshop, designed to share the most effective practices she has seen in 10 years of delivering evidence-based therapy.

  • Provide therapy options that improve resilience, mood, and confidence

  • Reduce sickness absence linked to common mental health difficulties
